Hey everyone!
I hope you all had a good week. Getting back into things after a break can be a bit of a challenge, but I made it through the week. With the end of the semester looming, things have gotten much busier. With that, I am trying to keep some balance in my life.

YouTube
I got back into YouTube these past couple days. I have been catching up on Regan (Peruse Project) and Heather’s (Heather McLarry) vlogs. As you all know, I love their channels, so it was nice to catch up on some of their videos.
Television
*spoilers ahead for Heartland (season 19), Dancing with the Stars (season 34), Survivor (season 49), Love Life (season 1)
Heartland
This week’s episode was really good, and yes, I know I say this every week. They finally addressed that Jack is going deaf, which I appreciated. I didn’t want them to drag it out too long, but it made me sad to realize Jack is aging. Dex made it up to Jack, so we got to see him training which was cool. And Jack even offered him a job so he can live in the loft. As I said before, Heartland loves a problem child. Amy and Nathan finally had an episode where things between them were good for longer than five minutes. Also, Amy’s reputation is back in tact which is nice to see. I am still curious about how Spartan got colic. I am wondering if they are setting up for something bigger, or if we are actually moving on now.
Dancing with the Stars
I finally got to watch an episode live again! Although next week I work, so I’m going to have to make sure I don’t get spoiled before I watch the next day. I was really sad to see Whitney go because I truthfully believe she deserved to stay. Honestly, the whole drama that arose from season three of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives definitely contributed to her downfall. I am looking forward to next week’s finale, but I am also sad my shows are nearing the end. I am hoping that Robert or Alix wins, so we’ll see how next week goes.
Survivor
I am literally talking to myself the entire time I watch these episodes. Watching Rizzo and Savannah essentially dominate while still being on the bottom is crazy to watch. The fact that they (Sage and Jawan and crew) had two opportunities to get Rizzo out, and didn’t take either is wild to me. Like I said last week, it’s not that surprising that Rizzo and Savannah are still there because they are on season 50, but watching it play out is wild. I am just hoping my girl Sage keeps playing her game because I don’t want to see her go.
Reading
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
I found an audiobook for this on Libby through my library, and I have made so much progress. I think my brain struggles to read this book because the writing is different to what I usually read. I don’t mind taking my time with a book, but this progress was so slow that it was making me not want to read it. Since downloading the audiobook I have made a lot of progress. I am 18 chapters in, and really enjoying it. The audiobook is quite long, which makes sense given the page count, so I’m just hoping I can finish it before I have to return it.
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
I finished it! I didn’t finish before my loan was due, but luckily I could take it out again. I really enjoyed this reread. While I want to continue my reread of this series, I am not sure when that will happen. I think 2 books at a time is my maximum, and I already am planning Middlemarch for my next audiobook.
The Pumpkin Spice Cafe by Laurie Gilmore
I also finished this book! While it wasn’t my most favourite book, it was quick and sweet which was exactly what I needed. I wanted to continue this series, but I also want to complete my 10 before the end, so I’m holding off for now.
Sidelined Love by Emery Paige
Getting back into my college hockey romance era and loving it. I honestly forgot how much I loved this genre, so I am happy that I’m enjoying this book. Hailey is your typical FMC that’s too busy for a boy, and Levi is immediately infatuated by her—and I’m eating it up. While it may be similar to many other college sport romances, I honestly don’t mind. Reading this book is reminding me of my second year of university in the best ways possible. I read a lot that year and had a lot of fun with my roommates, so these reminders are nice.

Music
Music has been used as a way to lock in this week, although it’s had wavering success. The Legally Blonde soundtrack has been on a lot because Elle Woods is the ultimate inspiration. As per usual, I have also been listening to a lot of country music.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know if there is anything else you want to see from me. Feel free to check out my Instagram for more!
