This week was quite busy with school because I was trying to get ahead since my mom came to town for the weekend. Luckily, I was successful in getting my work done, so this weekend I could enjoy my time with my mom. While I am not a big baseball fan, my mom is, plus it was the World Series. We watched both game 6 and 7, and it was so sad. I had to turn off the tv immediately last night because I do not want to see all their sad faces. My mom and I had the best pizza from a local restaurant, so all in all, this week had an amazing finish.

YouTube
I actually only watched one YouTube video for fun this week, but I watched some others for my marketing class that I did find interesting. As I’m sure you can guess, I watched a vlog from Heather McLarry while making dinner. I was getting close to catching up, but since I’ve scaled back my watching habits her current videos will last longer than I thought.
Television
*spoilers ahead for Heartland (season 19), Dancing with the Stars (season 34), Survivor (season 49), Shadowhunters (tv show, season 1)*
Heartland
I enjoyed seeing Caleb and Nathan getting to know each other better, even though it was forced. I know some people were annoyed by the idea of a plane crash because of season three Ty and Scott, but luckily there was no actual crash here. As well, it was fun to see Amy and Ashley interact and be friends again. Despite only watching this episode a few days ago, I can’t remember as many details because I already watched this week’s episode, so for now that’s all I’ve got.
Dancing with the Stars
Another sad week for DWTS, but this time for multiple reasons. The second I realized Elaine wasn’t there I was so sad, and while I’m happy she’s still in the competition, it was tough to see Jen go. Knowing that this was Jen’s dream makes me so sad that she was eliminated, especially since Andy is still there. While I understand the show is going to turn into a popularity contest because it has an audience vote, I wish we remembered that we should be voting based on skill and improvement. The judges were praising Andy, but honestly, I don’t think he was much better this week. I’m hoping that moving forward the votes are for that reason, and not because the audience likes/ dislikes someone.
Survivor
I haven’t watched this week’s episode of Survivor, so next week I’ll include two episodes for my wrap-up.
Shadowhunters
I’m on episode 10 of season 1, and I’m still having a lot of fun with Shadowhunters. It’s so crazy to me because, as I’m watching it, I’m remembering the script, despite it being years since I last did a rewatch. I imagine I’ll rewatch the entire thing even though I know I don’t like how they ended it.
Reading
A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
I didn’t read as much of this as I would have liked, but I am now 6 chapters through and still really enjoying it. While I read the synopsis, I still feel like I’m not totally sure where this book is going, but honestly, that makes it more fun. I am loving the vibes of this book created by the U.K. academic setting. Hopefully, I have some more time to read this week because I am excited to see where this book goes.
City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
After starting a rewatch of the Shadowhunters tv show, I decided I wanted to do a reread of the books. I am not sure if I am going to reread the entire series, but I guess time will tell. I got the audiobook from my library, which is making this reread go by relatively quickly since I am listening when commuting and doing chores. It is interesting rereading and rewatching the show at the same time because they are so different.

The Woman of Colour by Anonymous
This book is also for school, but it has been very interesting so far. I have read the first volume, and am looking forward to finishing it later this week. Reading a book that is thought to have been written by a Black woman in the early 1800s is so fascinating.
Music
Music was a background thing again this week, especially because I picked up an audiobook. A lot of Ella Langley, some Taylor Swift (Midnights), and instrumental while completing school.
Thanks for reading everyone! Let me know what you consumed this week, and if you watched or read any of the same things I’d love to hear your thoughts. Check out my Instagram and let me know what you would like to see for me.
